Update

Hello friends! Just wanted to let you know that we left our camera at Anissa's house the other night, so that is why there has been a delay on updating the blog. We have a few new pics to share on our memory card in the camera- hopefully we'll be picking it up today or tomorrow. Stay tuned for pics of Sammi dressing herself, Alexis' new haircut and birthday parties.

While we're at it, might as well give a school update as well- Alexis no longer says goodbye to us. She just runs right in. What a turn around from all of the tears shed in the beginning!

Sammi's latest trick

Well, not sure if you really would consider it a trick, but Sammi has started storing food in her cheeks. Her cheeks have always looked like there was food in them, but now she usually does actually have something in them. Here she is at dinner tonight- Trying to pry the food out of her mouth makes her choke, so it is safer to just let her suck on her food. Tonight when it was time to brush her teeth, she spit out what was left in her cheeks (at least an hour after we finished eating). Totally disgusting!!

Kids museum

This afternoon, we went to the Kidsquest museum in Factoria (again). The girls remembered their favorite part from our last visit, so after we got through the front door they ran straight for the water.

Daddy had just as much fun (if not more) playing in the water as the girls did.

Up in the tree house-

The girls second favorite activity at the museum- banging on the "drums" made out of pots and pans and hub caps.

Snow?!?!

After our 60+ degree day at the beach on Saturday, this happened on Monday morning... The snow was coming down hard in big flakes but it didn't stick. Alexis kept looking outside to see if there was "ice" on the ground so she could put on her snow clothes and make a snowman. She was disappointed when the sun came out later that afternoon.

Let's get away!

Last weekend Daddy had to do a lot of work at home, replacing our boiler, and Papa Bob went out of town for a golf tournament, so Grandma Kris suggested we go to Cannon Beach for the weekend. We took Pete (Great-Grandma Doris) along too. We left early Saturday and came home Sunday. It was great to get away and seeing what a mess the house was when we got back, we would have been in Daddy's way all weekend if we had stayed home!

The weather was great on Saturday- sunny & warm (nicer than some days we had there last summer!). When we got to town, we stopped at our favorite pizza joint for some lunch.
After lunch, we headed to the beach. Alexis showing off her sand castle with sea shells on top.

After playing at the beach, we jumped in the pool at our hotel to wash off all the sand.

Sunday's weather was more normal for March. Very windy and cold!

The weather didn't keep us from going to the beach. We just bundled up.

Before we hit the road, we stopped in Seaside to ride on the carousel- the girls loved it!

Can't wait to go back this summer!

When I grow up...

...I'm going to be just like my big sister!

Sammi loves to do everything that her big sister does. Last weekend, Alexis was sitting under her blanket reading books. Sammi drug over a chair, found a book, pulled the blanket over her lap and joined in. Look close- Sammi's book is upside down- he he.
