Rockin' Road Show!

It has been a while since we've had anything new on here. Although we have been pretty busy, guess we haven't been doing any picture-worthy activities...until this weekend! Today, Alexis & Mommy went to the Disney Live Rockin' Road Show with Siah and his mommy. We are also busy this weekend with 4 different birthdays (stay tuned for pictures from the parties).

Anyway, the show was awesome! But even though it was the first cool thing we've done in awhile, Mommy forgot to bring a camera, so these are cell phone shots.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, and Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story were some of the characters in the show.

And this glowing ball on stage is Cinderella, herself, in real-life. She (and her sparkly dress) was Alexis' favorite part of the show.

Week 4 school update: Alexis finally likes school!!!! This week she told Sammi & Mommy to just wait outside. There was no crying at all and no need for us to stay in the classroom. We were so proud of her!

School update

Alexis had school again yesterday. Things went a little better than last week- Mommy & Sam only had to stay in class for a half an hour this time. We didn't get to go swimming after, though. Maybe next week. Alexis really tried hard not to leave the house in the morning...she kept saying that she just wanted to rest instead of going to school. Funny, during nap time she NEVER wants to rest!

On a different note, here is an attempt at a Christmas family photo. Out of the 5 shots taken, this was the best.

Bon Voyage, Ba!

Michelle (Ba) left to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain on Saturday morning. We helped her finish packing on Friday & said our goodbyes. She should have left her clothes behind & packed us instead- Alexis could have fit in the suitcase & Sammi in her backpack! Have fun!PS We know your bags were packed to the brim but you should be able to find some room to bring back a couple little girl souvenirs- hint, hint!

Pre-school here I come...

...kicking & screaming the whole way! Alexis started school on Wednesday. Mommy & Sammi had to stay in the class room for the 1st hour of Alexis' 2 hour class.
According to her teacher, she didn't miss us one bit after we left. Here's to next week...hopefully we'll be able to drop her off with minimal tears. We still can't believe Alexis is old enough for school already! Where has the time gone?!?

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Like always (well I guess except for last year when we had so much snow), our Christmas celebration started on Christmas Eve with Grandma Gayle & Papa Scott and the rest of the family. Here we are on our way out- all ready to start celebrating Christmas. Alexis didn't want to pose for pictures! All is calm Christmas morning...Santa has come and the Jolley girls are still asleep.

Checking out what Santa has brought. Is it what we asked for?...Yes!After opening presents at home, we headed out to Grandma Jeannette's. Alexis loved the candy (big surprise!)

After dinner, we headed to Great-Grandma Pete's. Due to all the earlier celebrating (and maybe all the candy), Alexis had a MAJOR melt-down. She cried for a long time& did not want to see anybody- very unlike Alexis.

The day after Christmas, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Kings to celebrate Christmas with our friends the Shoemakers. Ba got us our very own fish! On a side note, one has already died. Alexis was very concerned when the black fish (named Tac- the other is Tic) got flushed down the toilet. As she likes to tell everyone, it was "so dead."

After a great Christmas, we were excited to welcome 2010! Sammi was sick on New Year's Eve- well, she had been sick since Christmas (she is finally on antibiotics)- so she went to bed early. Alexis stayed up to ring in the New Year.
