Black Eye Update

It's been almost a week since Alexis' run-in with the kitchen table & her black eye has now changed to a gross brown bruise. I can't believe how many strangers have commented on her injury! Here's a few pictures from this past week.

Eating's Tough!

Sam has finally found 2 flavors of baby food that she likes- oatmeal & sweet potatoes (not together). Tonight she ate a whole container of sweet potatoes. It totally wore her out. I guess eating is tough work.

She slept for about 1/2 hour like this.

Happy Birthday Uncle Michael!

Tonight we went over to Grandma & Papa's house to celebrate Uncle Michael's birthday. Alexis was a big help when it came time to unwrap all of his presents. Sam wasn't very happy with Papa (or anyone) at first- he'd look at her and she'd cry. She finally warmed up and played on his lap for a while.


Earlier in the day we were going over colors. The way Alexis says purple cracks us up...

Happy Valentine's Day! Alexis, Sam & I made these cool tie-dye shirts to show Kris how much we love him. Thank goodness we didn't leave the house today! We look a little silly!!

Welcome Home Ba!

Alexis is a big fan of Auntie Michelle (aka Ba). Here's her reaction to seeing her for the first time in a while. Michelle's been gone studying hard at WSU.

After we picked her up, we all went swimming. Alexis is getting so confident in the water! It's a little scary because she doesn't have the skills to go along with her confidence. Sam loved swimming this time. She didn't cry!

On the way to the birthday party on Friday, we stopped at the downtown REI to play for a while with Anissa & Brendan. The tree house toy was pretty scary- Alexis would only climb inside if Brendan climbed up with her.

More Birthdays!

We are going over to Great-Grandma Doris' tonight to celebrate her birthday and Great-Uncle Ken's & Great-Uncle Harry's birthdays. Alexis really enjoyed making the cake for the party (don't worry she didn't lick the beaters until we were all done with them & there were no eggs in the recipe).

Spring in Seattle???

It was so nice here the other day- in the 60s! We took advantage of the nice weather and played outside for a while. Check out how good Alexis is getting on her trike!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Sam!

Sam turned 6 months old on Monday!- which was also Great-Uncle Harry's birthday & Groundhog Day. Happy 1/2 birthday, Sam! Here's some more pictures of eating. She made a grossed out face after every bite of the peas but she swallowed them down.



PS After going to Sam's 6 month check-up, I feel horrible about making fun of her head size in the previous post "Sam the Giant." I found out that her head is actually pretty large & is growing faster than the rest of her body. Hopefully it is nothing to worry about but I will be taking her back in a month to re-measure her head.
