Braden Scott Jolley

Mommy was induced on the morning of Sept.1- we decided to force our brother out! It was a pretty boring day for Daddy. He's not good at sitting and waiting.

Good thing he didn't have to wait too long. Braden was born at 3:59pm. Only 9 hours after checking in to the hospital- could have been way worse.

Dr. Roe was sure we were going to have a small baby. He was shocked by the size of him! 8 lbs 1 oz and 21 inches long. Not quite a small baby. He did a great job hiding in there!

Daddy finally has his boy. Well worth the wait.
Big sisters show up at the hospital. They love their new brother!

Home is a crazy and loud place compared to the hospital!! Good thing Braden can sleep right through his loud sisters and barking dogs.

Indroducing Jolley Boy

Our brother Braden Scott was born yesterday at 3:59pm. He weighed 8lbs 1oz and was 21 inches long. He was the biggest Jolley at birth even though the doctor was afraid he was going to be small. He and Mommy are great looking forward to heading home soon.

Time to make some changes...

So, we've given up on catching up and decided to just skip to the present. Tomorrow our baby brother is coming!! We made some changes to include him on the blog (as you can see) and at home.

On Christmas, the girls moved into their princess room- they got their Christmas wish from Santa.

We didn't even know Mommy was going to have a baby yet, but this move combined the play room and the girls' room, leaving an empty room for our brother. Here is his monkey themed nursery set that Mommy sewed.

Our summer was super busy doing things besides getting ready for our brother...

We did a lot of swim lessons. Both girls think they can swim by themselves. Alexis can go pretty far by herself, stopping to take a breath and then putting her face back in.

We played with our friends.

Sammi started ballet. She has been waiting to turn 3 so she could go to ballet class.

Alexis got her tonsils and adenoid removed at the beginning of August. She ended up throwing up for 2 1/2 days after surgery. It was not all the popsicles and ice cream that we all dreamed of. It was a long 10 days of recovery! She's back to her normal self now, without the snoring. Yippee! And to end our summer, we went on our annual Cannon Beach trip. Always fun! Now it's time for our brother to come and for school to start. Both girls start preschool next week. Plenty of fun to come!

Getting ready for Christmas

We went to the mountains again this year to find our Christmas tree. This year, there was a ton of snow (about knee deep on the grown-ups) so it was hard for the little ones to hunt for a tree.
Taking a break- Getting a lift from Daddy-

Hanging out in the truck while the daddies went to find a perfect tree-

After a ton of hunting, we finally found a tree. More Charlie-brown style than we wanted but it worked.

Decorating the tree-
Going to see Santa-

Mommy thought going in the morning during the week would cut down on wait time but it didn't. The downtown Nordstrom Santa is a very popular guy!

Finally, we are to the window and we can see Santa-

The girls asked Santa for a Princess bedroom for Christmas. Do you thing they've been good girls?? We'll see!

Christmas program at pre-school-

Having a cookie snack before the big performance-

Getting ready to sing-

Here are videos from the big show-

A couple videos from a snowy day. We went to the park for some frozen slide with snow suits fun.

Happy 4th Birthday Alexis

Next item on the catch-up list is Alexis' 4th birthday- last November. We went to Celebration Park for a picnic lunch and some play time.
That evening, after Daddy got home, we had a little party at home. Uncle Michael came too.

Alexis loves candy! Perfect gift from Uncle Michael.
What a mess!
The next day was the BIG day- Disney on Ice with Zoey! Alexis got a new Belle dress for the show.
Princesses all ready to go-
We stopped for ice cream on our way to Disney on Ice to celebrate Alexis' birthday with Grandma Jeannette, Auntie Darlene and Cousin Bonnie.
Finally, the show begins...

We have never seen Alexis sit so still. She loved the show! And even though we decided on no birthday parties this year (since we were going to Disney on Ice) Grandma Kris invited her family over for a little celebration after the show.

Thank you everyone!
